Hugh Edward Wiley is a potter/sculpture and artist/painter. His paintings are of various styles ranging from ethnic, wildlife, abstract and also of unique geometric designs. Most paintings are created with acrylic paint and all are individually hand-painted. Hugh Edward Wiley's pottery collection is comprised of pottery created through the Raku technique. Raku is a Japanese word freely interpreted as "enjoyment". Raku is the process in which glazed pottery is fired through a low-firing process and then quickly removed from a red hot kiln. Hugh Edward Wiley has various styles of art. Each piece is hand-made and individually sculpted and fired. Custom pieces may be produced from sketches or photographs or also designed for commercial institutions using special logos.
